A palladium-catalyzed cross coupling of nitrogen bearing heterocyclic chloromethyl derivatives with aryl and heteroaryl boronic acids has been developed. In almost all cases, highly efficient cross-couplings were observed at ambient temperature, mitigating unwanted thermally induced side-reactions.
